Detectives have located surveillance photos from a Florence retailer taken the day of the robbery of a like dressed and described man who resembles the description of the perpetrator in this robbery.

At this point, police say he is only a person of interest in this investigation.

Investigators are asking anyone with information as to the identity of the person pictured (including the man himself) to contact either Crime Stoppers at (513) 352-3040 or the Boone County Sheriff's Department at (859) 334-2175.

PREVIOUSLY:

Police are on the lookout for a man who posed as a police officer, then robbed a woman Thursday afternoon.

Around 3:30 p.m., 31-year-old Rachel Ross was traveling through the intersection of Mount Zion and Gunpowder Roads near Union, Ky.

She was stopped by a car which appeared to look like a police cruiser. The vehicle was a black Crown Victoria with tinted windows, red and blue lights in the grill and on the dash of the car.

Ross was approached by a white male wearing a dark suit and purple tie. The man then pointed a gun at the victim and ordered her to give him her purse. He took her wallet and cash before giving her back the purse and drove away heading east on Mount Zion Road toward I-75.

The suspect stands 5 feet 10 inches and weighs between 180 to 190 pounds with dark hair.

Police say that the road is heavily traveled. Anyone who may have seen any part of the incident  is urged to call Crimestoppers at 513-352-3040 or the Boone County Sheriff's Office at 859-334-2175.
