CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - Trial was supposed to begin Monday for a man accused of killing a local teacher.
Instead, when Jonathan Foster arrived in court Monday morning, he pled guilty to the murder of Jacqueline Skukan.
As part of a plea deal, Foster was sentenced to 22 years to life in prison.
Skukan was a PE teacher at Monfort Heights Elementary. She was found dead inside her Norwood home on Christmas Day 2008 after her family got worried when they couldn't reach her.
Her car was found behind an apartment building in Mount Auburn, which helped police connect Foster to her death.
Foster pled guilty to aggravated murder and tampering with evidence.
