CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - Local restaurateur Jeff Ruby is offering a reward for any information in a rock throwing case from earlier this month.

Police say someone threw rocks at cars on Columbia Parkway near Taft on June 14. One of the rocks struck Joyce Baresel in the head. She was riding in a cab with a friend when the incident happened.

Baresel suffered serious injuries but has since been released from the hospital. There were at least 11 reports of damage, but no other injuries.

Ruby made the announcement with Cincinnati Police Chief Tim Streicher on Tuesday afternoon. He is offering a $5,000 reward to anyone with information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) involved. That is in addition to the $5,000 reward already being offered by police.

Ruby says he feels for the victim because he suffered a brain injury at one time and was not expected to recover.
