BLUE ASH, OH (FOX19)-- Police have arrested a man they say is connected to multiple thefts throughout Cincinnati and Hamilton County.
On June 21st, Blue Ash Police responded to a reported burglary alarm at the 5000 block Muirwood Court. When they arrived, the homeowner of the residence told police that they saw a man going through the contents of her car that was sitting in the open garage. The suspect ran from the scene when he was spotted.
Police were not able to track the suspect with the help from canine units, but found a stolen truck from A 1 Professional Sealers.Police discovered that the contents in the truck belonged to Jason Ward of Cincinnati.
Four days later, Madiera police responded to a theft from vehicle that took place at Kaywood Drive and Rollymeade Avenue. When officials arrived the that scene, they found that a stolen truck was leaving that area. The suspect was identified as Ward again, but he fled from the stolen truck on foot and was able to get away.
A tip from Crimestoppers lead to Jason Ward being arrested by police. He is currently charged with one count of Burglary and 2 counts of Receiving Stolen Property.
In his home, police found numerous cell phones, IPods, cameras, knives, Flashlights, calculators, jewelry, CD's, portable gaming systems and more.Officials say they believe that these items were stolen from car break-ins throughout Cincinnati and Hamilton County since February.
