CINCINNATI (FOX19) - Delta says they will cut another 17% of flights out of the Greater Cincinnati Airport this year. A spokesperson for the airline says the cuts are due to the economy but they say the airline remains committed to the community.
The cuts come on top of previously announced cuts in international flights out of the airport and other cutbacks since the merger with Northwest Airlines.
Delta has been under fire locally fire years accused of keeping the price of airline tickets artifically high at CVG. The ticket prices have gone down in the past year but so have the number of options for flyers.
The airline made the announcement to the Cincinnati Chamber of Commerce this week.
