UNION, KY (FOX19) - The son of a slain Boone County couple was arrested Tuesday on drug charges.
Michael Moore, 39, was served with an arrest warrant around 11:30 a.m. at his parents house, charging him with nine counts of attempt/obtain controlled substance by fraud/false statement to practitioner and one count of persistent felony offender, 2nd degree.
Moore's bond is $40,000 case as set forth on the warrant.
Moore's parents, Warren and Madge Moore, were found shot to death in their Union home last month. Michael Moore also suffered a gunshot wound.
Warren Moore was the city administrator for Union.
Police say during the course of the double homicide, investigators uncovered a series of incident where Moore attempted to obtain prescription drugs using different doctors to do so.
