6 arrested in Butler County juvenile Internet sex sting

HAMILTON, OH (FOX19) - Six people are behind bars after an undercover Internet sex sting in Butler County.

All six suspects were arrested after they show up to meet who they thought were young juveniles for sex. Five of the suspects are from Ohio and one is from Michigan.

Detective began posing as juveniles on the Internet back in March and to date have 130 open investigations.

In addition to the six arrests, two additional suspects remain at large with active felony warrants.

Arrested were: Mark Ballinger, 47, of Hamilton, arrested March 24, charged with attempted unlawful sexual conduct with a minor and importuning; James Snyder, 22, of Dayton, Ohio, arrested April 11, charged with attempted unlawful sexual conduct with a minor and importuning; David Neu, 68, of Cincinnati, arrested April 18, charged with attempted interference with custody, attempted unlawful sexual conduct with a minor and importuning; Jeffery Jenkins, 53, of Shelby Township, Mich., arrested May 18, charged with attempted unlawful sexual conduct with a minor and importuning; Clifford Smith, 31, of Milford, arrested June 24, charged with attempted unlawful sexual conduct with a minor and importuning; and Sukhdeep Sohal, 27, of Mason, arrested July 9, charged with two counts of importuning and attempted unlawful sexual conduct with a minor.
