Police look for Mason pharmacy robbers

MASON, OH (FOX19) - The Mason Police Department and Crimestoppers are offering up to a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the suspect or suspects be responsible for a pharmacy burglary.

The robbery occurred at the Walgreens Pharmacy on South Mason Montgomery Road on June 20 at 2:05 p.m.

Police say two suspects forced open the front sliding door. The suspects went into the pharmacy area and broke the glass window in the door and then climbed through the window. The suspects then pried open cabinets containing controlled substances, took an undetermined amount of prescription medicines and placed them into a black backpack. Both suspects exited out the front door.

One subject was wearing what appeared to be white gym shoes; the other was wearing black shoes. Both were wearing black pants, black hoods, black gloves and white masks. One suspect is described as approximately 6' tall and the other approximately 5' 8"; both have a slim build. It is unknown if the suspects are male or female. No vehicle was observed.

The cash reward is donated by pharmaceutical company Purdue Pharma L.P., which operates RxPATROL®, a collaborative effort between industry, pharmacists and law enforcement to collect, collate, analyze and disseminate information on pharmacy theft.
