Snake at the Duke substations cause numerous power outages

HAMILTON COUNTY, OH (FOX19)--Duke is reporting a snake getting into live wires caused that over 11,000 homes to be without power.

According to Duke Energy's spokesperson, three major substations have failed affecting the neighborhoods of White Oak, Harrison, Grossbeck, Peach Grove, Okeeana, New Baltimore and New Haven.

According the Duke's website, power is still out in over 3,500 homes. At the Peak of the outage, 11,500 home were without power.
