Police investigate Grant Co. home invasion

DRY RIDGE, KY (FOX19) - Kentucky State Police are investigating a home invasion/robbery in Dry Ridge.

Police responded to a home on Ellen Kay Drive around 11:30 p.m. A woman inside the residence stated that two white males had forced their way into the home by disguising themselves as policeman. The two unknown subjects demanded the parties inside the residence to lie on the ground and bound their with plastic zip ties.

One subject was approximately 6 feet tall and wearing a black sweatshirt indicating "Police" in white letters. The second subject was wearing a black shirt indicating "OEM" lettering in white.  Both subjects were armed with handguns and left the scene with a red or maroon 2003 Chevrolet Trailblazer with Kentucky Plates 576 CCA that was stolen from the residence.

The subjects also left with a handgun and an undisclosed amount of money, also taken from the residence.
