Police chief resigns

AURORA, IN (FOX19) - The police chief of Aurora, Ind. has resigned.

Cotton met earlier this week with the city's mayor, but the mayor did not give a reason why Cotton stepped down.

Cotton was police chief of Aurora for six years.

Det. Brian Fields is serving as interim chief.
