Body of woman found near creek

CRESCENT SPRINGS, Ky. (AP) - A neighbor discovered the body of a woman lying near a creek bank in northern Kentucky.

Jemina Works, 54, was found around 9:30 a.m. by a creek that runs near Eubanks Road in Kenton County. The Kentucky Enquirer reports neighbor Kevin Berry was taking tomatoes to a neighbor when his dog went toward the creek and found Works' body.

James Redwine, an assistant Kenton County commonwealth's attorney, says the body showed no obvious signs of foul play. Berry says Works had a habit of going into the creek when it rained. He says he pulled Works from the creek about a year ago fearing she would be hurt.

Police say an autopsy will be performed in the next few days.
