WILMINGTON, OH (FOX19) - Police have made an arrest in a murder from May of 1993.

Diana Jean Crum was 32 years old when she was murdered in her apartment in Wilmington. On Wednesday, the Clinton County grand jury indicted Terrin Long for her death.

Police say at the time of her murder, evidence was gathered and forwarded to the Miami Valley Regional Crime Lab. The case remained open and was reviewed periodically, but a break didn't come until recently when scientific evidence became known that led to Long's arrest.

Long was indicted on two counts of murder, one count of involuntary manslaughter and one count of felonious assault.

Long was arrested Thursday morning in Wilmington.

Crum's daughter, Crystal Doughman, had also been trying solve her mother's murder after it went cold.

"She was brutally murdered and she was the kindest person you could ever meet," Doughman told FOX19 in October of 2007.
