WESTWOOD, OH (FOX19) - A person was injured Tuesday morning after a fire in Westwood.

It happened just before 9:30 a.m. in the 2800 block of Lafeuille Ave.

Initial fire units arrived on the scene and confirmed a working fire with smoke showing in a two-story brick four-unit apartment building.

Firefighters discovered a fire victim in the front yard suffering from fire related injuries. The person was taken to the hospital for treatment. The name and condition are unknown at this time.

Investigators say the fire was placed under control within 10 minutes. However, the structure suffered extensive smoke damage. Damage is estimated at $75,000.

Investigators say the cause of the fire was refueling/repairing gasoline powered equipment inside a building near the ignition source.

Four adults and one child have been displaced.
