WESTERN HILLS, OH (FOX19) - Another local dealership is closing its doors.

Glenway Chevrolet will close on January 1, 2010. It will try to sell its inventory before then, and will continue to service vehicles.

The dealership has been in business for 90 years and has 40 employees.

"We are sorry to have to say goodbye to our loyal customers, our employees and their families, to the schools, organizations and churches that we have firmly supported over the years, and to the Western Hills area," owner Mark Ackerman posted on the dealership's Web site.

Glenway Chevrolet is one of hundreds of dealerships nationwide that GM is closing as it tries to come out of bankruptcy.

Here is the complete letter Ackerman posted on the Web site.

To Our Dear and Valued Customers,

Glenway Chevrolet is saddened to announce the upcoming closing of our 90 year old Western Hills dealership.

After five generations and over 9 decades of serving the Tri-State area, General Motors has targeted our dealership to  begin the process of a "Wind Down" agreement and has requested the dealership be closed with a beginning date of January 1, 2010.

We are sorry to have to say goodbye to our loyal customers, our employees and their families, to the schools, organizations and churches that we have firmly supported over the years, and to the Western Hills area.

Over the next few months we are looking for your support in reducing our inventory and to continue to service your vehicle. We would like to have the chance for you and your families to come in to say goodbye.

You are welcome to call 513-251-5555 or e-mail me, marka@glenwaychevrolet.com for more information.

 Sincerely,
 Mark Ackerman
