UNION, KY (FOX19) - The Boone County Sheriff's Department is investigating an accident where a teen was struck and killed by a vehicle Wednesday evening.
At 9 p.m., officials were called to the intersection of U.S. 42 and Mount Zion Road for a report of an accident involving a pedestrian struck.
Officials say Glennis Christophel, 18, of Anderson Township, was crossing the street when he was hit by Jason Chisholm, 18, who was driving south on U.S. 42 in the curb lane.
Christophel was taken to St. Elizabeth Hospital in Florence, where he died.
