Power knocked out at elementary school

LOWER PRICE HILL, OH (FOX19) - The first week of school is proving to be an interesting one at Oyler Elementary.

Around 9 a.m. Wednesday morning, an underground transformer fire knocked out power to the school.

Duke Energy crews were called in, and hope to get the power back on by noon.

The school was briefly evacuated, but operations are back to as normal as they can be without power. The school is operating without lights or computers.

Principal Craig Hockenberry said the school does not have air conditioning, so that is not an issue.
