Home damaged in Hamilton fire

HAMILTON, OH (FOX19) - A home was destroyed after a fire in Hamilton on Thursday morning.

Flames broke out just before 2:30 a.m. in the 200 block of Williams Ave. Responding fire crews found heavy flames shooting out the front two windows of a two story Cape Cod home.

Fire crews conducted an interior attack with a joint interior search for any victims. The fire was brought under control shortly and crews discovered the occupant was not home.

Estimated damage is $25,000 structural and $10,00 in contents. No one was hurt.

Crews are still investigating a cause.
