Health Department holds H1N1 Presentations

NORTHERN KENTUCKY (FOX19) - The Northern Kentucky Health Department has planned presentations to educate the public about the H1N1 virus.

Experts will be at local libraries to address topics like symptoms if the Swine Flu, caring for an infected person, how to avoid spreading and contracting the disease, and the latest information about Swine flu vaccines.

All of the presentations are scheduled for 6:00pm to 7:30pm and are open to the public on a first come, first serve basis as space permits. Each presentation will also include a question and answer session.

The following are the scheduled sessions:

  • Monday, August 31, at the Erlanger branch of the Kenton County Public Library, 401 Kenton Lands Road, Erlanger, Ky.
  • Tuesday, September 1, at the main branch of the Boone County Public Library, 1786 Burlington Pike, Burlington, Ky.
  • Thursday, September 10, at the Newport branch of the Campbell County Public Library, 901 E. Sixth St., Newport, Ky.
  • Monday, September 14, at the Mary Ann Mongan branch of the Kenton County Public Library, 502 Scott Blvd., Covington, Ky.
  • Tuesday, September 15, at the Grant County Public Library, 201 Barnes Road, Williamstown, Ky.

The Health Department has also planned a summit in Swine Flu of professionals including health care workers, local government officials and school staff on September 9th. Those who would like more information should contact859-341-4264, Ext. 2226.
