FLORENCE, KY (FOX19) - The Boone County School District is reporting that at least three students have possible cases of the H1N1 virus, or Swine Flu.
School officials say the cases have been reported by the parents of the students, and not confirmed with the health department. However, health department officials say they are moving away from reporting individual cases.
One case is being reported at Boone County High School, another at Gray Middle School, and another at Camp Ernst Middle School.
District officials sent a letter home with parents outlining the steps they are taking to prevent swine flu, and also to remind parents about proper prevention of the virus.
Parents are also being reminded not to panic and to talk to their health care provider if their child is suffering from any flu-like symptoms.
