Woman dies in Whitewater Township crash

WHITEWATER TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) - Police are investigating a fatal traffic crash in Whitewater Township.

It happened just after 10 p.m. on Wednesday night in the 9300 block of Harrison Ave.

Police say a Saturn operated by Amanda Vaughn, 31, of Harrison, was traveling eastbound when she traveled left of center, and was struck by a Hummer operated by Darcie Worley, 37, also of Harrison.

Vaughn was pronounced dead at the scene. Police say she was not wearing a seatbelt.

Worley and her passenger, William Ellis, 29, were both transported to University Hospital. Worley's three children were taken to Children's Hospital. Everyone suffered non-life threatening injuries. Police say they were all wearing seatbelts.

Alcohol and/or drugs are not considered factors in the crash.
