DELHI TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) - The Hamilton County coroner has positively identified human remains found at a Delhi Township home as those of missing mother Kristan Strutz.

The coroner's office says the remains were made through DNA testing performed at the Hamilton County Coroner's Crime Laboratory.

Kristan Strutz's husband, John Strutz, has been indicted on charges of tampering with evidence after the remains were found at his home. John Strutz had reported his wife missing on Aug. 15 after he said she didn't return home from a shopping trip. Police found the remains soon after.

John Strutz continues to be held at the Hamilton County Jail on a $1 million bond.

Hamilton County Prosecutor Joe Deters has said that more charges against John Strutz are expected, but he was awaiting results from the coroner's office.

Kristan Strutz's family released a statement, saying, "It is not the outcome we hoped for, but now we must move forward. We hope and pray that justice will be forthcoming for Kristan."

A ruling on a cause of death has not been made.
