MILFORD, OH (FOX19) - Memorial celebrations have been set for Milford High School principal Dr. Ray Bauer, who died suddenly over the weekend.
The Bauer family and Milford students have plans for two memorial celebrations for Dr. Bauer. School officials say both events are celebrations of Dr. Bauer's life and not memorial services or a funeral service.
On Thursday evening, the students are planning a celebration that will start at 7 p.m. at the Milford High School football stadium with a social/picnic "bring your own food" time. There will be some activities taking place at the stadium during the social time. A more formal service will take place at 8:30 p.m. at the stadium. The Bauer family will be there.
The Bauer family says visitation is set for Saturday, September 5 at the Faith United Methodist Church at 8230 Cox Road in West Chester, Ohio 45069 from 9 to 11 a.m. A Celebration Memorial Service will follow.
Milford High School has established a Ray Bauer Memorial Scholarship Fund to benefit Milford students.
