1 dead in drunk driving crash

CRESCENT SPRINGS, KY (FOX19) - One person is dead after an overnight crash in Crescent Springs, Ky.

Police say Riley Ealy, 26, of Crescent Springs was driving drunk when he lost control and drove into a ditch on Amsterdam Road around 2:30 a.m. Thursday morning.

A passenger in the car, James Fry, 25, of Walton, was pronounced dead at the scene. Another passenger, Marshal Ealy, 31, also of Crescent Springs, suffered minor injuries.

Riley Ealy faces charges of manslaughter, DUI and wanton endangerment. He suffered minor injuries in the crash and is currently being held at the Kenton County Detention Center.

Police say Riley Ealy was home from Iraq and out celebrating with his friends.

The crash is under investigation by Erlanger Police.
