GREEN TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) - A mother and daughter were injured in a crash in Green Township.

It happened just before 10:30 p.m. Thursday in the 5600 block of Harrison Ave.

Police say an Oldsmobile operated by Heather Miller, 27, of Cincinnati was disabled after the vehicle ran out of fuel. Mary Perkins, 69, of Cincinnati, and her daughter, 16, were standing in the rear of the vehicle, pushing it.

David Bretnitz, 57, was operating a Toyota eastbound on Harrison Ave. and failed to observe Miller's vehicle, striking it, Perkins and her daughter.

The daughter was taken to Childrens Hospital and is being treated for serious leg injuries. Perkins accompanied her daughter to the hospital, but was later taken to University Hospital in stable condition. Miller was treated and released from the hospital. Bretnitz was not injured.

Alcohol, drugs and speed are not considered factors. No charges have been filed against Bretnitz.

The crash remains under investigation.
