ADDYSTON, OH (FOX19) - A man is back in police custody after giving officers the slip overnight.

Douglas Ryan Yager, 18, was stopped around 9 p.m. Monday night for a drug trafficking violation. According to court documents, Yager was sold a bag of marijuana to two juveniles and an adult, and also tried to trade them a rifle for money or drugs.

Yager was taken into custody by Addyston Police, but he got away and fled, still wearing his handcuffs.

Officers with several departments then went looking for him, and finally caught up with him just before 3:30 a.m. Tuesday morning. He was hiding a half mile away from the police station, behind a parked car.

Yager faces one count of drug trafficking, one count of attempt and one count of escape.
