CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - Three families have been displaced after a fire in the Fay Apartments.

Just after 3 a.m., residents reported a structure fire in the 4200 block of President Drive. Upon arrival, firefighters found flames showing through the roof of a second floor apartment.

Crews quickly brought the fire under control within fifteen minutes. However, the fire did spread to the adjacent apartment via a common attic.  Extensive overhaul needed to be done to ensure the fire did not spread to the other apartments.

No one was home in the apartment of origin at the time of the fire, but the fire displaced three families from surrounding apartments. No one was injured.

The cause of the fire is undetermined and currently under investigation. The building sustained $100,000 damage.
