SHARONVILLE, OH (FOX19) - Charges are pending against a 15-year-old boy who led police on a chase.
Blue Ash Police say an officer clocked a driver going 71 miles per hour in a 35 mile per hour zone on northbound Plainfield Road just before 6 a.m. on Monday morning. The officer then initiated a stop of the driver at Plainfield and Fox Hollow Drive, where the driver pulled to the side of the road and struck a curb.
As the officer approached on foot, the driver sped away.
The officer returned to his patrol car and pursued the driver onto eastbound Stone Creek Drive, northbound on Bridle Path Drive, and then westbound on Wenbrook Drive where the vehicle exited the roadway and crashed into the front yard of a residence.
The driver fled the vehicle on foot and was apprehended after deployment of a taser by the officer.
Police say the 15-year-old driver took his mother's car without her knowledge.
The 15-year-old was treated and released at the hospital for minor injuries. He is charged with fleeing from an officer, speeding and driving without a license.
