UPDATE: Adams Co. infant dies; father charged

MANCHESTER, OH (FOX19) - Police have upgraded an investigation of an injured infant to a homicide investigation after the child died Thursday.

On Sept. 15, an 18-month old baby was taken to Children's Hospital after she was reported to have head trauma. The child, 18-month old Lakaylee Chambers, died at the hospital Thursday afternoon.

He father, 21-year-old David Chambers, was arrested on Wednesday and charged with child endangering.

Investigators are currently working the evidence and will present a case to the Adams County Prosecutor for upgraded charges.

MANCHESTER, OH (FOX19) - Police are investigating what happened to an 18-month-old baby who was found not breathing Tuesday morning.

Emergency crews were called to Cemetary St. in Manchester just after 7:30 a.m. Tuesday on a report of a child having seizures. When they arrived, the found the child suffering severe head trauma.

The baby was air lifted to Children's Hospital.

The incident remains under investigations, but no charges have been filed.
