CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - A Hamilton County inmate escaped Tuesday morning, but was caught after he was bit by a K-9 unit.
Antwan Criswell, 28, ran away from the Reading Road facility around 8:15 a.m. He was captured by the K-9 unit about a half hour later in a building nearby.
Criswell was being held on drug trafficking charges, and is now charged with escape.
He was transported to University Hospital for treatment after the dog bite, but was moved to the Hamilton County Justice Center.
As they try to track and trap the bear, wildlife officials say an attack like this one is highly unusual.
