BATAVIA, OH (FOX19) - A Clermont County man has been sentenced for stealing paving brinks from a soldier's memorial.

Francis Fille, 26, stole over 100 paving bricks from a memorial for fallen soldier Matt Maupin at East Fork State Park. Fille will spend the next 10 months behind bars for the theft charge and another 30 months for violating probation in previous theft cases.

Investigators say Fille stole the bricks for a project at his home.

Maupin is a soldier from Clermont County who was captured in Iraq in 2004. His remains were found last year near Baghdad.
