SYMMES TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) - Police are looking for a person who robbed the Speedway gas station in Symmes Township over the weekend.

It happened just before 2:30 a.m. Sunday morning in the 10400 block of Loveland-Madeira Road.

Police say a man entered the station and displayed a black revolver while demanding cash. The clerk refused the suspect's request, so the suspect leaned over the counter and attempted to open the cash register. The clerk struck the suspect several times in the head and face, but the suspect was still able to open the register and get an undetermined amount of cash.

The suspect then fled on foot in a southerly direction into a wooded area. A K-9 search was unsuccessful. No one was injured.

The suspect is described as a white male, 6-feet-tall, wearing a black mask, white ski-type goggles, a black sweatshirt, gray sweatpants, black shoes and white gloves.

Anyone with information should call Crimestoppers at 513-352-3040.
