FALMOUTH, KY (FOX19) - The superintendent of Pendleton County Schools says preliminary investigation of a school bus crash Tuesday afternoon reveals the bus driver was at fault.

Superintendent Bob Yost says the driver of the school bus, Janet Elliott, 56, pulled out in front of a pick up truck on U.S. 27, causing the crash that injured 11 people, including 10 students.

None of the injuries were serious. The Pendleton County Sheriff's Office says charges will not be filed in the crash because Kentucky is a no-fault state.

The bus driver will also undergo drug and alcohol testing, which is standard procedure in crashes involving school buses. Yost says Elliott is a "good person" who is a retired teacher from Pendleton County and a substitute bus driver.

One of the students on the bus was a pregnant teenager. Yost said the teenager has given birth to her baby, and both mother and child are doing fine.

The driver of the pickup truck, Odes Milner, 61, has been treated and released from the hospital.
