DRY RIDGE, KY (FOX19) - Rescue crews have rescued three people from high water in Grant County.
William Upton, 29, Elizabeth Rogers, 35, and a 14-month old child were in a Toyota pick up truck on Elliston-Mount Zion Road near Warsaw Road when the truck got stuck in high water. Heavy rain caused several creeks in the area to rise.
The three people managed to sit in the rear bed of the truck while emergency crews worked to rescue them.
Just after 8 a.m., the Northern Kentucky Technical respond team performed a successful swift water rescue after traveling approximately a quarter mile via raft to the trapped vehicle.
All three were treated on scene and released at the scene. No one was hurt.
