Fourth victim and expert witness takes the stand in Blankenburg case

HAMILTON, OH (FOX19) - The fourth alleged victim and an expert witness is on the stand in the trial of Dr. Mark Blankenburg Friday.

The alleged victim, who is now 24, told the court that Dr. Blankburg touched him sexually 30 to 40 times when he was a teen. He also testified that he gave him 10 dollars after the incident. He says that he told his mother about the encounter, but dismissed his claim.

Witness, Dr. Sharon Cooper, is a pediatrician and expert on child sexual abuse and child erotica.

Dr.Cooper is from North Carolina and serves on numerous boards and committees related to the child sexual abuse field, in which she has worked for over 20 years. Cooper has testified in over 300 trials in 15 different states on the topic.

After reviewing Dr. Blankenburgs photo collection that was submitted into evidence earlier this week, she points out the child erotica nature.

Thousands of the photos are not the nude variety but erotica. focusing on clothed or semi clothed young boys.

Not pornographic, but revealing a fascination and infatuation for young boys due to the fact hundreds of the photos focus on the buttocks of young adolescent boys.

Dr. Cooper was on the stand for over five hours.


The trial resumes Monday morning.
