Four injured in crash on I-275 in Ky.

HEBRON, KY (FOX19) - One person was air-lifted to the hospital after an early-morning crash on Westbound Interstate-275 in Hebron.

A tractor trailer, van, pick up truck in sedan collided during a chain-reaction crash around 2:30 a.m. Wednesday morning near the Mineola Pike exit.

Police say Garry Robinson, 51, of Petersburg, rear-ended a Chevy Impala with Dale and Denise Shell of Covington. The impact caused the Impala to hit a Chevy Silverado pick up truck operated by Charles Centers, 21, of Burlington, which in turn hit a tractor trailer driven by Okey Rodgers II, 35, of Columbus.  

Dale Shell was flown to the hospital with life threatening injuries.

His wife, Denise, Garry Robinson, and Charles Centers were taken to Saint Elizabeth Hospital in Florence where they were treated and released.

The crash closed the interstate until about 3:40 a.m.

Investigators are still investigatin the accident.
