UPDATE: Police say an attempted abuction report in Clermont County was false.
Police interviewed the girl, and based upon the investigation and the information they received, they have determind the report was unfounded.
No charges will be filed.
The grandmother of a 9-year-old girl told police that the girl was pulled into the woods by an unknown male; however, the girl was able to break away from the man and run home.
The girl told police she was on the playground at Apple Creek Mobile Home Park just before 6 p.m. Tuesday when a white male wearing blue jeans and a white t-shirt pulled her arm into a wooded area just west of the mobile home park. The girl described the man as being "an older white male who was bald."
There were no allegations of assault or injuries.
Police responded with the K-9 unit and conducted a search of the wooded area, but no one was located.
Witnesses at the Monroe Woods apartment playground, just west of Apple Creek, say the girl was playing with them when her mother called her name and she ran home, through the woods toward Apple Creek.
No witnesses saw the suspect or any activity described by the girl.
The investigation is ongoing.
