HAMILTON, OH (FOX19) - The SWAT team was called to a home in Hamilton after a man shot and robbed another man Saturday night.

Police say that 23-year-old Bruce Tussey was at the 200 block of Warwick Avenue when 20-year-old Coty Proffitt held him at gunpoint, struck him in the head, and forced Tussey to empty his pockets.

The suspect then shot the victim in the head before making him leave the residence.

Tussey was treated and released for Ft. Hamilton Hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

Police responded to the residence where they though Proffitt was still inside the home. When he refused to answer the door or phone, the Hamilton Fairfield SWAT team was called in. They were able to enter the house and take Proffitt into custody.

He is charged with Aggravated Robbery, Felonious Assault and an outstanding warrant. Proffitt is currently being held at the Butler County jail awaiting arraignment.
