CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - Three men have been arrested for an aggravated robbery at the Family Dollar, and police say they could be responsible for several other robberies in the area.
Police received a report of a robbery at the Family Dollar on Vine Street around 4 p.m. Tuesday afternoon. A description of the suspect vehicle and partial license plate number was broadcast, and the car was located by VORTEX officers a short time later.
Three suspects were taken into custody. Further investigation revealed that they may be responsible for other Family Dollar robberies over the weekend, as well as robberies in other jurisdictions.
Deonte Smith, 23, of Cincinnati; Maurice Jefferson, 23, of Covington; and Prentiss Avery, 23, of Cincinnati are all charged with aggravated robbery. In addition, Jefferson faces weapons under disability charges and is also charged with an Oct. 17 robbery at United Dairy Farmers and an Oct. 30 robbery at a Family Dollar in which a shot was fired.
They are being held at the Hamilton County Justice Center.
