Chocolate Covered Apple Bites with Crushed Pretzels

Chocolate Covered Apple Bites with Crushed Pretzels

2 Apples (washed and dried)

4 – 5 long pretzels sticks, crushed

1 (11.5 oz) package of milk chocolate morsels

 Directions:

  1. Slice a thin layer of the top and bottom of the apples.  Cut in half (or thirds if it’s a large apple).
  2. Then cut each chuck with an apple slicer.
  3. Dry apples pieces well with paper towel to remove moisture from apples.
  4. Insert toothpick into each piece
  5. In the meantime, melt chocolate over double boiler and add a drizzle of safflower oil if necessary to insure consistency of chocolate.
  6. Dip each piece into chocolate and then onto the crushed pretzels.
  7. Place on parchment paper or Silpat until chocolate is set – about 2 – 4 hours.
