LEBANON, OH (FOX19) - A man was arraigned Wednesday for his alleged role in the death of a Russian immigrant.

Ermek Abdildaev, 40, was indicted last week on charges of gross abuse of a corpse and tampering with evidence for his alleged involvement in covering up the murder of Aleksander Alverov.

Abdildaev was arraigned Wednesday, and his bond was set at $50,000. If he posts bond, he will surrender his passport, and Immigration and Customs Enforcement has placed a holder upon him, preventing him from allowing them to take him into custody if he is released from the Warren County Jail.

Police believe Alverov was killed in 2000, but his remains were not discovered until 2007 in Hamilton Township.
