Macaroni & Cheese Yankee Style

Recipe from Linda McClear of Smithville, Tenn.

Prep Time: 20 minutes 

1 lb elbow macaroni
1 16 oz can tomato sauce
3/4 can milk
1/2 lb American cheese slices (real cheese)

1. Cook elbow noodles until al dente, drain and place in casserol dish.

2. Add tomato sauce and milk and mix. Place some of the slices of cheese under the noodles and place some on top.

3. Place in over at 350 for 20 minutes or until cheese on top is browned a little. Remove from over let set 5-10 minutes and enjoy.

Servings: 4-6
Comments: My mother was from Kansas City, MO and it is her recipe.
