CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - 60 years ago Hank Williams recorded at Cincinnati's Herzog Studios, now a marker commemorates that part of the city's musical history.

The Cincinnati USA Music Heritage Foundation unveiled the new historical marker honoring Williams and Herzog Studios in the 800 block of Race Street Downtown, Sunday.  The foundation lobbied for the marker, and helped raise money to get it made.

Organizers hope this marker is the first of many to follow.

Williams made country music recordings at the studios on Race Street in December of 1948 and August of 1949.
