CINCINATTI, OH (FOX19) - Firefighters rescued a 5-year-old girl from an apartment fire on Monday in the 2600 block of Vera Avenue in Golf Manor.
The two-alarm fire started around 7 p.m. at the four family apartment building.
It's unclear what started the fire, but the unit where the fire originated was destroyed.
Golf Manor Assistant Fire Chief Jim Puthoff says all the units had smoke detectors, but it's unclear if they were working.
The victims were pulled from different units in the building. Ambulances took the girl to Children's Hospital. There is no report on her condition.
The Cincinnati Fire Department's Arson Unit is inspecting the scene because of the nature of the damage caused to the building. However, the landlord of the building said he believes someone fell asleep while cooking.
