MASON, OH (FOX19)- Mason City Council decided to table a vote on two proposed Kings Island taxes Monday night.
The city is proposing a 3 percent tax on admissions to the park, and a 5 percent tax for parking. Those extra fees would be passed on to visitors starting the 2010 season. The same proposed taxes would also be imposed on The Beach Waterpark.
Dozens of people turned out to speak against the planned tax in a public comment portion of the meeting that lasted nearly two hours.
A vote was expected Monday, but the council decided to table that vote until its meeting on February 8.
