CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - Police are looking for a man they say tried to rent out a house that didn't belong to him.

According to Cincinnati Police, Rick Sweeney, 25, posted a newspaper ad about a house for rent in the 4200 block of 32nd Street. A woman responded to the ad, met Sweeney at the house and gave him $3,000 for a deposit and rent.

However, when the woman attempted to move into the house, she met Dan Bissmeyer, the owner of the property, who told her he had no knowledge of the house being rented, and Sweeney had no authority to rent the property.

Police say Sweeney is also under investigation for identity theft.

He is described as a white male, 6-foot-tall and 200 pounds. If you know where he is, call Police Dispatch at 513-765-1212 or Crimestoppers at 513-352-3040.
