Police are looking for bank robbery suspect

WEST END, OHIO (FOX19) - Police are looking for a suspect who they say robbed a local bank Friday morning.

A short time before 11:00am Police were called  to the 1700 block of Western Avenue fro a report of a bank robbery at the Cincinnati Central Credit Union.

The suspect entered the Credit Union  and placed a cardboard box on the county of the teller window. He told the teller, "There is a bomb in the box", and demanded he teller to give him money. After the suspect took and undetermined amount of cash, he left the Credit Union and ran northeast toward Winchell Avenue.

The Cincinnati Police Explosive Ordnance Detection Canine Unit was called to the Credit Union to inspect the box. The box had no bomb or explosive material.

Officials say the suspect is a black male, in his late 20's to early 30's. he stands at 6 feet tall and weighs 200 pounds. He was wearing a dust/allergy mask to cover his mouth and nose. He was also wearing a gray hooded sweat suit jacket that zipped in the front, blue jeans, white gym shoes and black gloves. He left the Credit Union carrying a large black book bag with a shoulder strap.
