HAMILTON, OH (FOX19) - The Bauman Family is on the hunt for the perfect tree.
"We've been coming out here to cut Christmas trees as a family for about 10 years," said Sharon Bauman
It's a family tradition that keeps growing, right along with the fresh trees.
"Being outdoors, sharing experience with children and grandchildren," Bauman said.
"And we've just made it a family tradition, we come out every year, just to come out and enjoy the nice weather,"said Shelly Hood.
And with 65 acres and six types of Christmas trees to choose from, the possibilities are endless at the John T Neiman nursery in Hamilton.
"We have a lot of the same families come out every year to get a tree," said Tim Neiman.
And families like the Baumans are picky about picking the perfect tree.
"So, we look for tall and thin, and we usually like Blue Spruce because they're nice and sturdy and they can hold all of our ornaments that we've been collecting for years," Hood said.
And for many families, picking out the perfect tree is a tradition that's passed through generations, and that families hope will live on.
"Let him get in on the tradition, and someday hopefully he'll do it with his kids," Hood said.
And after the best tree is picked out, it's cut, carried and loaded, ready to enter a happy home for the holidays.
