HAMILTON, OH (FOX19) - Former Fairfield Pediatrician Dr. Scott Blankenburg faced a judge Monday on new charges including three counts of unlawful sexual contact with a minor, two drug charges and bribery, after prosecutors say a new victim came forward.
The six count indictment alleges Blankenburg had sexual contact with an underage boy in 2002, but alleges the bribery and drug charges occurred as early as this December with the same male, now in his 20's.
"Part of the allegations are that he actually helped administer Heroin to this young man, who has a serious drug problem, that's outrageous, and we don't want anyone overdosing on drugs and we need these victims to be left alone," said Butler County Prosecutor Robin Piper.
Blankenburg pleaded not guilty on the new charges. Prosecutors pushed to revoke Blankenburg's bond, but Judge Noah Powers referred the case to pretrial services before making a decision.
Blankenburg's twin brother, Dr. Mark Blankenburg, was convicted this year of similar child sex crimes. His sentencing is scheduled for Dec. 11.
