Love activists want to raise awareness about climate change so they gathered Friday evening to make some noise about it. Vigil participants representing several organizations rang bells, banged gongs 350 times in Clifton. Three hundred and fifty times because they say we have passed the safe limit of 350 parts per million of carbon emissions in the atmosphere. According to David Loy representing 350.org " So we not only have to stop kicking more carbon in the atmosphere, but we also have to take out some of the carbon that's already there."
Hundreds of events like this were planned across the country to push President Obama and Congress to adopt strong cuts to carbon emissions by 2020. For more information, www.350.org
